How I hate them.
From what...I hate 10-sided dice! How I hate them.

From what I can recall, that is a concise summary of our Nappy's Battle game. I delivered withering fire upon your left, forcing your cav and infantry to retreat, but I was undone by the success of your center and right. This was partially due to the longer ranges of your rifles. Also where your retreated units rallied, I failed to pass successive morale tests, and my well-dressed, but poorly led Austrians cowered along the back of the field until you rode into them with cav. My Landwehr made a courageous stand delaying the inevitable end, but my corp was scattered.

While I hate 10-sided dice, I enjoy Nappy's Battles competitive die-rolling during attacks. Cav can be very powerful in this ruleset. Not getting too extended is also very important, and aggressive play can sometimes be punished. Because of the abstraction of the units and terrain, 10mm or 6mm may be more appropriate model sizes for size of the units than 15mm. I, however, like the looks of 15's on the table.

Welcome to the ledge of grognard gaming. Take the plunge!Brittnoreply@blogger.com
